FA-HUM exercise participants arrive in San Salvador [Image 2 of 10]

Wearing a multitude of military and civil uniforms from Central, North and South America, participants checked in May 5 to begin FA-HUM, a regionally-oriented foreign humanitarian assistance and disaster relief command post and field training exercise in San Salvador, El Salvador. The exercise is designed to build partner nation capacity to respond to a major disaster. The U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and Army South-executed two weeklong event is expected to strengthen military and security force collaboration and hemispheric cooperation involving regional military and civilian agencies.
