Mary Carnes, who found a 1963 reel of "The Tonight Show" starring Johnny Carson, poses with Jeff Sotzing, chief executive officer at Carson Entertainment and nephew of the late Johnny Carson. Carnes discovered the film earlier this year at the Defense Imagery Management Operations Center (DIMOC) a mere two weeks before retiring as a program support manager at the American Forces Network Broadcast Center. Carnes returned for the special occasion. The reel is one of the last known archives of the show surviving from the 1960s. DIMOC turned over the film to Sotzing to be added to the Carson archives.
