Holocaust survivor Martin Becker, 87, from Albany, N.Y., speaks to New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs employees about his experiences growing up in Germany and escaping Nazi rule during 1939, April 30. The presentation is in observance of Holocaust Remembrance week, April 27–May 4, 2014. The talk focused on a book written by Bruce Chadderton of Auckland, New Zealand, titled “Descent into the Abyss: The Shoah” published in 2012 by the Education Fund, Society of Israel Philatelist, which was dedicated to Becker’s sister, brother-in-law and niece, all murdered during the Holocaust.
