Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Matthew Stender, assigned to VP-46, uses a razor and tape to block letters so the names of the maintainer of the month and operations sailor of the month can be painted onto a P-3 Orion at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia Oct. 27, 2008. The names are painted in order to recognize members of the squadron who excel at their job. Mechanic Stender, a native of Wyoming, Iowa, is deployed from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash.
