Staff Sgt. Sarah Merklinger, 380th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron military working dog handler, takes Bojar through a parking lot at their deployed location. The patrol is less than 24 hours after Bojar was anesthetized and X-rayed by a local veterinarian. Bojar, a military working dog, injured his teeth and gums while traveling to his deployed location. Merklinger is from Waco, Neb. She is deployed with Bojar from Kadena Air Base, Japan.
