Staff Sgt. Bryan Long, 43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, teaches U.S. Army members how to load and carry a litter during a national disaster exercise, Ultimate Caduceus 2014, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., April 1, 2014. During Ultimate Caduceus, part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Capstone Exercise, AE members provided medical support, processed and transferred patients. By interacting and working closely with our federal, state and joint partners, Airmen in Ultimate Caduceus 14 are able to develop refinements to processes and procedures that can potentially enhance the effectiveness of real-world relief operations. The aeromedical teams were comprised of more than 18 AE crew members from Pope Army Airfield, N.C., Scott Air Force Base, Ill., and Cheyenne ANG base, Wyo. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Staff Sgt.
