    1st Brigade, 11th Airborne Division

    Soldiers assigned to B Company, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment pull Ahkio sleds full of emergency supplies in the Alaskas Shield emergency response exercise, April 1, 2014. Soldiers were alerted to deploy and participate in the state-wide exercise with the notional mission of traveling across difficult snow terrain to provide emergency humanitarian aid supplies to isolated population centers in Alaska.
