A Republic of Korea Marine observes an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft on the flight line March 18 at Daegu Air Base in Daegu, Republic of Korea. The Osprey flew U.S. Marine Lt. Gen. John Wissler to Daegu to observe the 3rd Marine Division’s combined operations center during the command post exercise portion of Marine Expeditionary Force Exercise 2014. MEFEX enhances the interoperability between the U.S. Marine air-ground task force and the Republic of Korea Marine task force while honing amphibious capabilities of each nation’s Navy and Marine Corps. The Osprey and crew are with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III MEF.
