Lance Cpl. Stephen Brookover, an administration clerk with Parris Island’s Headquarters and Service Battalion, helps Elsie White out of her room to be escorted to the mess hall Feb. 11, 2014, at River Oaks Assisted Living in Port Royal, S.C. Service members presented roses to residents and escorted them from their rooms to the cafeteria to enjoy a Valentine’s Day themed meal.
