In January three airmen from the 387th Air Expeditionary Wing, an Air Force unit that falls under the 1st Theater Sustainment Command and the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary)'s umbrella, arrived in Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base (MK), Romania, to teach 30 soldiers from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment out of Grafenwoehr, Germany how to manage the customs processing piece at MK's s new transient center. Here, Air Force Master Sgt. Jose F. Diaz (center), a customs agent for the 387th AES and a native of Monterey, Calif., explains how to conduct a proper bag dump to Army Cpl. Jared A. White (left) and Army Spc. Olivia R. Vanyo (right) with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment at the newly erected customs building at MK. Vanyo and White answered the 2CR's call for volunteers to help set up and operate the transient center's custom facilities.
