High Speed Vessel Swift (HSV 2) sails off the coast of Guyana en route to the city of Georgetown where her crew will participate in subject matter exchanges with the Guyanese Defense Force. She is the first U.S. military vessel to dock pier-side in the country. Swift is currently deployed in support of Southern Partnership Station (SPS) 2010 a deployment of various specialty platforms to the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) area of responsibility (AOR) in the Caribbean and Central America.
