Louisiana Army National Guardsmen from the 1023rd Engineer Company, 527th Engineer Battalion in Monroe, La., stand in formation at the Sulphur Parks and Recreation Center in Sulphur, La., prior to landfall of Hurricane Ike. The 1023rd is providing four three-man boat teams for damage assessment operations and potential search and rescue missions in Calcasieu and Cameron Parishes in the wake of the storm, which will hit somewhere along the west coast of the Gulf of Mexico Saturday morning.
