A specialized search dog team observe a moment of silence for their fallen comrades Cpl. Kory D. Wiens and Sgt. Cooper who died in action July 6, 2008. Wiens and his dog were remembered Sept. 12 with a building dedication in their honor at Camp Victory, Iraq. Wiens and Cooper were a specialized search dog team, whose mission is to travel ahead of units and ensure there is no explosives threat present. The new building is designed to increase protection against indirect fire, be easily relocated and cost efficient to construct.
