A sailor assigned to the Independence-class littoral combat ship Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Jackson (LCS 6) observes his new crest during a crest unveiling ceremony at Marinerís Park Amphitheater, Naval Base San Diego. Jackson is currently under construction in Mobile, Ala., by Austral USA. A keel laying ceremony was held in October 2012, and the ship expects to be commissioned in 2015.
