Pfc. Collin Nethery, an armor crewmember from Monrovia, Md., assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, conducts radio checks with the guards manning the towers providing overwatch along the perimeter of Forward Operating Base Falcon, located in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. Nethery and the Soldiers of the Raider BCT BDOC are responsible for maintaining the surveillance equipment and communications for the guard mount and the Quick Reaction Force that provides the first line of defense for the FOB.
