U.S. Army Gen. Bantz J. Craddock, Commander United States European Command and Henrietta H. Fore, Administrator US Agency for International Development and Director of United States Foreign Assistance, inspect humanitarian assistance packages at an internally displaced person's site in the Republic of Georgia to observe the United States' humanitarian assistance efforts in the Republic of Georgia. At the request of the government of Georgia, humanitarian assistance efforts are being coordinated by the U.S. Department of State and USAID with assistance, as required being provided by the Department of Defense following the conflict between Russian and Georgian forces.
