United States Ambassador to Georgia, John F. Tefft, U.S. Army Gen. Bantz J. Craddock, Commander United States European Command, and U.S. Army Brigadier General Jon Miller, EUCOM Joint Assessment Team, meet with Minister of Defence of Georgia, Mr. David Kezerashvili. At the request of the Government of Georgia, the United States is providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Georgia. The HA efforts are being coordinated by the US Department of State and USAID with assistance, as required, being provided by the Department of Defense following the conflict between Russian and Georgian forces.
