Sgt. Maj. Denean R. Ambersley, U.S. Army Central human resources senior enlisted adviser, attended the Carolina Chapter Adjutant General’s Corps Regimental Association’s quarterly breakfast, held at the Fort Jackson NCO club Nov. 21. Ambersley was the guest speaker and honoree, receiving the "Standing Andy" statue for her motivational speech, in which she spoke about the importance of being resilient as the Army changes and being a leader that takes pride in your leadership. “All soldiers are entitled to outstanding leadership,” said Ambersley. “I live by that creed and I want leaders who wear this uniform to live up to that standard and never forget that soldiers are the reason we wear our stripes and patches. We once had leaders and now that we are leaders, we should perform beyond our potential. Soldiers deserve nothing less.” (Photo by Spc. Sharmain Burch USARCENT Public Affairs)
