The sun breaks the plain of the horizon and rises up over the northern part of Egypt during Exercise Bright Star on Sept 17. The exercise is designed to enhance the interoperability and cohesiveness of coalition forces through various training scenarios to include amphibious and combined-arms operations. The six-week exercise affords U.S. service members the opportunity to build awareness and relationships with the host nation of Egypt and nine other coalition forces.
