Staff Sgt. John B. Markham, NCOIC of Class I for the 849th Quarter Master Company, receives a coin of excellence from Lt. Gen. R. Steven Whitcomb, Combined Joint Task Force Commander-Operation Bright Star, Mubarak Military City, Egypt. Markham, who has been on the ground since day one of the Joint Coalition Training exercise, volunteered to stay in Egypt until the end of the exercise to help the next rotation of Quarter Master Soldiers transition into their jobs smoothly.
