Sailors from Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 1 lay down a concertina wire perimeter around their camp during the NMCB 1 Field Training Exercise (FTX) Operation Bearing Duel. FTX tests the battalion's readiness to deploy through a variety of realistic scenarios potentially encountered during Seabee deployments. NMCB 1 provides combatant commanders and Navy component commanders with combat ready warfighters capable of engineering, construction and limited combat engineering across the full range of military operations.
