First Sgt. Brandon McGuire of the Commanding General's Mounted Color Guard renders honors to Gunner, a 13-year-old mount of the Commanding General's Mounted Color Guard on Aug. 23 at Fort Riley. Gunner died Aug. 16 after complications from colic. The CGMCG hosted a memorial in honor of Gunner at the unit's stables.
