    • USS Carney (DDG 64) Homeport Shift

      USS Carney (DDG 64) sets to join USS Donald Cook (DDG 75), USS Ross (DDG 71), and USS Porter (DDG 78) at NAVSTA Rota, Spain - operating forward in the Europe theater. These ships will continue to operate alongside partners and build critical relationships made possible by being postured forward in Europe, aligning with the CNO's Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower.

    • P-8 operations in the South China Sea

      The U.S. 7th Fleet is conducting operations in accordance with international law in disputed areas of the South China Sea.

    • Project Wildfire 2015

      Nearly 1,000 gang members and associates from 239 different gangs were arrested in 282 cities across the U.S. during Project Wildfire, a six-week operation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The operation targeted transnational criminal gangs and others associated with transnational criminal activity.

    • Theater Security Package

      Theater Security Packages are U.S. Air Force deployments of aircraft and personnel to Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve, demonstrating U.S. commitment to security and stability in the region.

    • Amari Flying Training Deployment

      14 F-16s and approximately 280 Airmen from the 510th Fighter Squadron Aviano Air Base, Italy will be deploying to Ämari Air Base, Estonia to train with the Estonian air force and Estonian Joint Terminal Attack Controllers. This training will focus on maintaining joint readiness while building interoperability capabilities.

    • U.S. 7th Fleet Support to AirAsia Flight QZ 8501

      USS Sampson (DDG 102) and USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) are supporting Indonesian-led efforts to locate Air Asia Flight QZ8501. Sampson, a guided-missile destroyer, joined the effort on Dec. 30, followed by the littoral combat ship Fort Worth on Jan. 3.
