I Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps Installations West have taken deliberate actions in response to COVID-19. Planning efforts are continuous to evaluate and respond to the situation to ensure the health and welfare of our Marines, Sailors, civilians, and families while also maintaining a ready and capable force. I MEF and MCI-W are working with interagency partners and local communities to support disease-containment and mitigation operations. I MEF and MCI-W are taking every measure to protect the force while also balancing the operational requirements to support training, provide services and preserve the ability of I MEF Marines and Sailors to rapidly deploy in defense of the nation.
