Bonhomme Richard launches MV-22 to Sasebo for medevac
A Marine, assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) was medically evacuated (medevac) from the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) by an MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, assigned to Marine Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (reinforced).

USS Germantown demonstrates support to developing community relationsUSS Germantown (LSD 42) organized and conducted a successful beach cleanup in order to give back to the local community. On March 21, over 80 sailors volunteered their Saturday morning to help clean up Shirahama Beach. The event aimed to improve community relations and demonstrate that USS Germantown desires to be an active participant in bettering the community we share.
