167th Airlift Wing bids farewell to its final C-5The last C-5A Galaxy aircraft assigned to the 167th Airlift Wing and the Air National Guard launched from the airfield here Wednesday, into its retirement at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, otherwise known as the boneyard.


Nebraska National Guard Marathon Team takes 9th place in 38th Annual Lincoln National Guard Marathon
Twelve thousand five hundred runners hit the pavement of downtown Lincoln, Nebraska, on a humid May morning to compete in the 38th annual Lincoln National Guard Marathon, May 3, 2015. First time runners and veterans alike joined together to endure the strenuous 26.2 miles on a warm, breezy spring morning. Of those who came out to run, were 175 members of the Air and Army National Guard, representing 44 states and two territories, including four members of the Nebraska National Guard marathon team.

McConnell Reservists keep Thunderbirds flyingOn the morning of May 22, six familiar red, white and blue F-16 Fighting Falcons from the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Demonstration Squadron streaked across the skyline of New York City to promote their upcoming performance at the Jones Beach Air Show in Wantagh, N.Y. Thousands of New Yorkers were treated to the site of the fighters as the formation cruised from Long Island to Queens, over Brooklyn and along the Hudson River. However, this display of precision flying and airpower would never have happened if not for the efforts of Air Force Reservists from McConnell's 931st Air Refueling Group.
