During the National Hispanic American Heritage month ceremony, volunteer performers from The Salsa at KAF danced to Salsa in celebration of this event, Oct. 12, 2012, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Salsa is a form of music and dance encompassing vibrant and energetic hip-swinging moves surrounded by intense beats of Latin Jazz and Cuban Mambo. Salsa is an internationally popular dancing style full of sensuality and grace with roots in Africa, Latin America, North America and the Caribbean.
