On USS Constitution's bowsprit, Petty Officer 2nd Class George Carlton, a culinary specialist, furls the jib during an underway demonstration of the coast of Boston, Aug. 31. Sailing under her own power for the second and final time in 2007, USS Constitution made 3.5 knots using six sails manned by more than 150 CPO selectees. At 209 years old, USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world.
