Maj. Gen. David G. Perkins, commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division, and Lt. Gen. Robert L. Caslen Jr., commander of NATO Training Mission-Iraq, take a moment to hold a quick conversation following the casing of the 4th Infantry Division’s colors Oct. 20 at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, Iraq. As the former commander of United States Division-North, Perkins commanded the Iron Horse Task Force, which conducted advise, train, and assist missions with Iraqi Security Forces and also transitioned over 30 U.S. military installations during its 13-month Operation New Dawn deployment.
