A new sand volleyball court at Pine Flat Lake near Sanger, Calif., built by National Public Lands Day volunteers awaits final touches Sept. 24. More than 60 volunteers turned out to help plant trees and build the court and horseshoe pits at the park. Pine Flat was one of seven U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District recreation parks that participated in the event.
