Lt. Col. Stephen P. Armes, operations officer for 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force, talks with Marines July 21, during Talisman Sabre 2011. Armes is apart of 3rd MEB which is the Marine Forces command for Talisman Sabre 2011. Talisman Sabre 2011 is a biennial combined training exercise designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting Combined Task Force operations to improve Australian defence force/U.S. combat readiness and interoperability.
