Petty Officer 2nd Class Quinlan Verbo, a native of Kettle Falls, Wash., stands by waiting to escort the remains of two U.S. service members from World War II and one set of remains from the Vietnam War, while at Hangar 35 on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii for a Repatriation Ceremony June 17. Petty Officer Verbo was a volunteer on this mission with the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, which is responsible for searching, recovering and identifying remains of fallen U.S. service members from past conflicts.
