Sgt. 1st Class Larry Schuler embraces his wife, Michelle, and daughter, Sarah, who greeted him at Roseburg High School during a demobilization ceremony for members of the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon Army National Guard, April 30, in Roseburg, Ore. Schuler, of Coos Bay, Ore., was one of nearly 100 soldiers with 1st Battalion, 186th Infantry Regiment, who returned home after a year-long deployment to Iraq. Nearly 2,700 Oregon citizen-soldiers with the 41st IBCT deployed to Iraq to provide convoy security, force protection, and infrastructural support.
