Staff Sgt. Jerry Kinman holds his daughter, Madison, after stepping off the bus that brought him home for a demobilization ceremony for members of the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon Army National Guard, April 30, in Roseburg, Ore. Kinman, of Coos Bay, Ore., was one of nearly 100 soldiers with 1st Battalion, 186th Infantry Regiment, who returned home after a year-long deployment to Iraq. Nearly 2,700 Oregon citizen-soldiers with the 41st IBCT deployed to Iraq to provide convoy security, force protection, and infrastructural support.
