Cpl. Noah Hagerman, embarked on USS Wasp, hands out a backpack and a teddy bear to a student at Fern Grove Basic School in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Nov. 20. Hagerman was part of a group of Sailors and Marines from Wasp who took part in a community relations project at the shool aimed at furthering U.S.-Jamaican cross-cultural ties. Wasp is currently deployed on Southern Partnership Station-Amphib with Destroyer Squadron 40 and embarked SCMAGTF. Southern Partnership Station is part of the Partnership of the Americas Maritime Strategy that focuses on building interoperability and cooperation in the region to meet common challenges.
