Texas State Park Hueco Tanks volunteer guide Ed Anthony, (center, facing), explains to his morning tour group about the rock art, or pictographs that adorn much of the stone faces of the three mountain ranges there. In some of those areas, more recent graffiti has covered the original artwork. To preserve this historic site, the parks’ rangers have made certain areas off-limits unless accompanied by a park guide. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. James Avery, 16th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment)
