U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Emanuel Araica (right), logistics officer, Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 274, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), and Capt. George Ivascu, MWSS 171, MAG 12, 1st MAW, utilize a concrete saw to cut spall during an airfield damage repair practical application, at Canon Air Defense Complex (P111), near Yuma, Ariz., Sept. 20, 2014. Capt.'s Araica and Ivascu are Aviation Ground Support students attending Weapons Tactics Instructor (WTI) Course 1-15, a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One( MAWTS-1) cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
