Marines fire their M45A1 close-quarters battle pistols from short range Feb. 8 during a small-arms live-fire package at Marine Corps Base Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. The package covered weapons tactics and retaught the Marines over subjects such as proper hand placement, sight picture, different positions they will be shooting from, transition drills, live immediate action drills and pistol work. The package ended with a pistol qualification course. The Marines are reconnaissance men with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
