U.S. Army Sgt. John Keller begins assessing a simulated casualty at a medical treatment lane during 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division’s noncommissioned officer and soldier of the quarter competition Jan. 23, 2014, at Forward Operating Base Fenty. Soldiers and NCOs from each of the brigade’s forward subordinate units competed in a number of different events over two days to decide the unit’s best for the 1st Quarter of 2014. Keller serves as a section leader with 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, and hails from Makinen, Minn.
