U.S. Army Sgt. David Ray, a Baltimore, Md. native with 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, hauls a skedco litter carrying an improvised casualty across the medical training lane during 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division’s noncommissioned officer and soldier of the quarter competition at Forward Operating Base Fenty Jan. 23, 2014. Ray competed against other NCO’s from across the brigade in fitness, marksmanship, and other events to crown the unit’s best for the 1st Quarter of 2014.
