Pvt. John Krautheim, a cavalry scout assigned to Troop C, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, stands guard, Aug. 9, 2008, outside a local shop located in Abu T'shir's busy Market street. Soldiers of Troop C, 2nd Platoon, spent the day in southeastern Rashid identifying eligible business owners for microgrants, small one-time grants ranging from $1,000 - $3,000. The one-time grants are intended to help small business owners revitalize their trades and stimulate growth in the local economy. The grants also assist coalition forces and Iraqi security forces and developing relationships with the community, creating a tertiary effect of safer neighborhoods.
