Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers review the deeds to an Iraqi business owner's shop located in the Abu T'shir's Market street Aug. 9, 2008, before enrolling the local entrepreneur for a microgrant. Soldiers of the 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, MND-B, are working to identify microgrant recipients by meeting with local vendors and shop owners, looking to apply for the grant. Microgrants are small one-time loans approved on a case-by-case basis by the commander of the 1st, "Raider" BCT, and distributed to local Iraqi business owners to stimulate growth in the local economy.
