Taige Foley, a paratrooper with the 16th Military Police Brigade during National Airborne Day celebrations at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum, Aug.24. National Airborne Day celebrates the first U.S. Army parachute jump Aug. 16, 1940. This is the 11th observance of the day President George W. Bush proclaimed Aug. 16, 2002, the day to nationally recognize that first jump.
