Fred Goldhammer, Commander, Carrier Strike Group 11, completes his final flight in an F/A-18F Super Hornet, attached to the “Fighting Redcocks” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 22, while aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) in the Pacific Ocean, March 17, 2025. Nimitz is currently underway in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations as part of a scheduled homeport shift to Norfolk, Virginia.
