JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, Hawaii — Ikaika Hollinger, a nuclear machinist with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, produces a metal prototype using a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathe machine in the innovation laboratory (iLab) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Oct. 17, 2025.
The iLab leverages skilled technicians and technology to achieve manufacturing, creating prototypes and parts needed to ensure our ships stay operational and mission-ready through innovative solutions.
