IA2 Marines conduct drone exploitation in support of CUAS exercise
IA2 Marines from 2D Intel Bn analyze unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) during a forensics exercise, May 19, 2025. Employing the Forensic Dominance System – Marine Corps (FDS-MC), IA2 Marines examined the UAS collecting location data, biometrics, flight log and other information to help determine the origins and personnel associated with the device.
The Marine Corps' efforts in forensic exploitation of UAS are a critical component of their Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) strategy. The FDS-MC focuses on extracting and analyzing data from captured or recovered drones to gain a tactical and strategic advantage. (U.S. Marine Corps video by CTR Moises Rodriguez)
