U.S. Army Sgt. Brandan Supernault, a civil affairs specialist, and Staff Sgt. Sean Rockcliffe, a civil affairs noncommissioned officer, with Civil Affairs Team 4334, 443rd Civil Affairs Battalion discuss the upcoming LAMPA festival in Cesis, Latvia June 20-21, 2025. The LAMPA festival provides a space for discussions including state defense services such as the Baltic Defense Line. The 443rd Civil Affairs team will be participating in this year's event. Civil affairs consists of small team units who work with key political leaders within the civilian population, to meet with schools, engage with local communities while bringing those observations to U.S. military leaders when advising them with how the civilians see the U.S. within that particular area. Doing so facilitates stronger partnership and enhances relationships at the local level. (U.S. Army video by Staff Sgt. Rose Di Trolio)
