Package about a recent dedication ceremony of the new children's room in the Casey Memorial Library at Fort Hood, Texas. The Fort Hood community honored the memory of an American hero. As a major general in the U.S. Army, Gen. George Casey served bravely in both the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. He became the highest ranking officer to die in Vietnam after he was killed in a helicopter crash in 1970. Yet, his legacy continues in the heart of his son Gen. George Casey, Jr., the current Army Chief of Staff. Gen. Casey was at the dedication to honor his father's life and service. Produced by Charlie Guzman. Includes soundbites from Gen. George Casey, Jr. and Pamela Shelton - Library Director.
