Various Status of Forces Agreement members and Japanese locals perform Eisa dances on Camp Foster, May 12, 2024. Eisa, originating in Okinawa, began as a ceremonial dance practiced by Japanese Buddhist monks to pay homage to their ancestors' spirits. Today, it has evolved into a modern dance with its roots still planted strongly in tradition. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Zachary Sarvey)
