U.S. Marine Corps sergeants, newly selected for the rank of staff sergeant, attend Staff Sergeant Symposium, a week-long leadership course hosted by Marine Aircraft Group 12, on Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, November 17, 2023. The symposium, the first of its kind on MCAS Iwakuni, introduced the soon-to-be staff sergeants to leadership techniques through various discussions led by MAG-12 and air station officers and senior enlisted leaders, and sergeants major from across the Indo-Pacific region.
